Learning in our Schools
Assessment
Within the Glencoe Schools we use a combination of formative and summative assessment options to consider student strengths and areas for continued growth.
Core Content
District 35 provides students with enriching experiences in literacy, math, science, and social studies. Curriculum in each grade level has been designed using the Illinois Arts Learning Standards.
Integrated Arts
In addition to the core classes, students at Central School participate in Integrated Arts course. These courses provide opportunities for students to expand their interests in a variety of academic and enrichment curricular areas.

Through the generosity of the Glencoe PTO, we are pleased to support the return of in-person Mindfulness learning in all classrooms throughout District 35.
Modern Language
Central School’s Modern Language program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to become proficient in their chosen language while adhering to the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages (WRSLL).
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
District 35 utilizes the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process to support all students by employing a comprehensive framework that addresses each students’ diverse needs.
