It’s time to smile and get ready for the annual school pictures. Wednesday, September 7th is picture day at all three schools. Please return the completed order form with your child and contact your school office with any questions.
Recent events have brought a national focus to water quality and, more specifically, lead levels in water. While not a state or federal requirement, District 35 commissioned comprehensive laboratory testing for lead and copper throughout our three school buildings. Samples were collected in July from all water sources within the schools. Preliminary results of this testing were returned on Friday, August 15, 2016. Please read the District 35 letter for the full details of our update. Should you have specific questions about next steps, please do not hesitate to contact us. The safety of your children is our highest priority.
Glencoe School District 35 is offering early childhood screenings for Glencoe children birth through 5 years of age. The screenings are open to Glencoe residents who have concerns about their child’s development in the areas of: speech-language, fine motor skills, concept development, and/or social/emotional growth. Vision and hearing screenings are also provided, for children 3 years and older.
Screenings will be held on:
October 24 and 25, 2016
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, by appointment
We ask that children participate in all components of the screening. These early childhood screenings are being conducted in an effort to identify children who may benefit from special education services and/or consultation during early development. These services include: speech and language, occupational, and physical therapy. Please be prepared to describe your concerns regarding your child in the above areas. The screening is not designed to determine kindergarten readiness.
To make an appointment, please contact Kim Badie in the Pupil Services Office at (847) 835-7838. Please call by Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

All visitors will be issued an orange lanyard that should be worn in a visible location while in the school. When exiting the building please return to the main office, sign-out and collect your license/ID. Please enter and exit the schools through the main office only.
