District 35 is pleased to announce that fall conference sign-up will take place using our secure Family Access link. You may register online for the conferences from November 2nd (7:00 a.m.) through November 4th (7:00 p.m.). Due to parent-teacher conferences, students will not attend school on November 10th and November 11th. We look forward to this opportunity to discuss your child’s progress. Please click here to see the directions to schedule a conference.
The Glencoe Schools will be collecting excess Halloween candy. Drop off your excess candy November 1st - November 4th in the designated candy bins at South, West or Central School. The collections will be shared with the Leukemia Research Foundation to be used in gift bags for an upcoming fundraising event. Thank you!
In a continuing effort to expand environmental initiatives, the Village of Glencoe is once again hosting a one-day pumpkin collection event. Residents are encouraged to bring pumpkins to the Village for collection and delivery to a composting operation, reducing the number transported to landfills. The Public Works Department will have a designated drop off location at the Public Works Garage, 325 Temple Court from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2. For more information visit the Village website at www.villageofglencoe.org
If your child will be absent from school, please call the District 35 absence line (847-835-7801) to report the absence. In addition, if your child participates in a Park District class after school, please be mindful that you must also call and report your child’s absence to the Park District. Thank you!
The school district may release directory information which includes:
Birth date and place
Parent(s)/guardian(s) name and address

Additionally, student pictures without identifying information may be posted on the district web page with informational pieces. Any parent(s)/guardian(s) may prohibit the release of any or all of the above by delivering a written objection to the Building Principal.
District 35 is pleased to launch the School Rush APP as a secure tool to remain connected and informed about events in your child’s school. This is only available to District 35 parents and ensures all student information remains private. We encourage all parents to download the School Rush app as we will also make use of this tool for bus updates and priority information from the schools. If you did not receive the School Rush invite, please email Roseanne Nelson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
District 35 no longer supports open access to tools such as Twitter or Facebook at the classroom level. For additional information on our Board Policies related to social media usage, please visit our Board Policies section of our website.
Welcome back to the 2016-2017 school year! We thank parents and visitors for following these security procedures when you visit our schools.
All visitors are asked to present a valid drivers license or state ID to enter the school each time they visit. This identification information will be stored in our system and scanned through the national registries at each visit.
All visitors will be issued an orange lanyard that should be worn in a visible location while in the school. When exiting the building please return to the main office, sign-out and collect your license/ID. Please enter and exit the schools through the main office only. Staff and students are instructed to refrain from admitting any visitor to the building through side or secondary entrances. We thank you for your cooperation as we strive to maintain safe schools for our students and staff.
Please visit our Nurses & Healthcare site for updated information on medical record requirements for public schools. Should you have questions, please call the school nurse (South School: 847-835-6440, West School: 847-835-6640 and Central School: 847-835-7640).
