After 17 years of exceptional service as the Superintendent of School District 35, Dr. Cathy Crawford is retiring in June 2015. The Board of Education has begun the process to find her successor and invites you to participate by attending one of the following scheduled Open Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to gather your views on the qualities that the next Superintendent should embody to fulfill the district's mission, steward the district's culture and resources, and be successful as the educational leader of our schools.

The Glencoe Summer Explorations program will run from June 11th - July 3rd. Online registration for District 35's summer classes will begin on Wednesday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. at http://summerschool.glencoeschools.org, and closes Friday, April 23rd at 3:30 p.m. A variety of engaging classes for students entering grades 1-8 are available at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at West School. If you have moved or have a lease which is expiring prior to the start of next school year, please contact your child's school to provide updated residency information. This information is required for the school district to verify enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year. Thank you!
It is time to register for 2014-15 school year bus service. Beginning with the 2014-2015 year, parents are required to register and pay on-line. Please click here to go to transportation section of our website.
Your completed registration information and fee must be received by the Business Office/postmarked no later than Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Registrations, other than those for Park District ONLY, received/postmarked after Wednesday, May 28, 2014 will be subject to a late fee of $50.00 per student. Please note that financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
Glencoe Public Works will hold the annual Earth Clean-Up Day on Friday, April 18th. Student permission slips and sign-up will be provided by Glencoe Public Works in the near future.
The second session of lunch runs through February 28th. It is still possible to order hot lunch. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for orders to be processed. With the support of our 8th Grade Executive Cabinet, we have added four collections across our schools (in addition to the CapriSun & TREX in place). You can help raise money for the school and charities chosen by the students. This year the list of charities includes the Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern to honor the memory of Bruce Kaminski. You or your children can bring the following items to South, West or Central and deposit them in the receptacles by the front offices.
