  • Innovation in our Schools

    South and West Schools are preparing to add an Innovation Station to the Crawford Learning Center library spaces. Central School is embedding innovation learning options within the elective course offerings for 5th-8th graders. We will foster the 4Cs - collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication - as our students tinker with everyday items to solve challenges. Students will be introduced to the engineering design process that involves asking questions, imagining possible solutions, planning, creating and improving on a plan.

  • Security in our Schools

    Welcome back to the 2015-2016 school year! We thank parents and visitors for following these security procedures when you visit our schools.
    All visitors are asked to present a valid drivers license or state ID to enter the school each time they visit. This identification information will be stored in our system and scanned through the national registries at each visit.

    All visitors will be issued an orange lanyard that should be worn in a visible location while in the school. When exiting the building please return to the main office, sign-out and collect your license/ID.

  • Required Medical Forms

    Please note the following medical record requirements for public schools. Should you have questions, please call the school nurse (South School: 847-835-6440, West School: 847-835-6640 and Central School: 847-835-7640).

    Illinois law requires proof of an eye examination by an optometrist or physician who provides complete eye exams be submitted as a child enters kindergarten or is new to an Illinois school. The exam must be completed within one year prior to your child beginning school. All forms must be turned in by October 15th. Download the EYE EXAM form here.
