    This is a reminder that school will be in session on Monday, April 21st. This will make up one of the January snow days.

  • Earth Day Clean Up

    Student volunteers are encouraged to participate in the Annual Village of Glencoe Student Earth Day Clean-Up and Celebration between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014. Click here to register! Students need to dress appropriately for the weather and activities. The Village of Glencoe will provide gloves and trash bags for the event. Parent volunteers are also encouraged and needed to assist at each site.

  • Urban-Suburban Clothing Drive: April 21-24

    The Spring PTO Urban Suburban Clothing Drive is almost here. Please bring our gently used, clean clothing to the drop off locations at South, West, or Central schools beginning April 21st. We will be collecting clothing through April 24th.

    We are working with a new recipient school! All clothing will be donated to the Gale Academy of Math and Science in Chicago in Rogers Park. Gale Academy serves 448 students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. Nearly 90% of the students are below the poverty line and they have many immigrant families.   • Superintendent Search

    After 17 years of service as the Superintendent of School District 35, Dr. Cathlene Crawford is retiring in June 2015. The Board of Education (BOE) has begun the process to find her successor. The selection of the next Superintendent of Schools is one of the Board’s most important duties and the Board vows to provide a search process as comprehensive, transparent, and thoughtful as possible.

  • Summer Explorations 2014 -  Registration is OPEN

    The Glencoe Summer Explorations program will run from June 11th - July 3rd. Online registration for District 35's summer classes will begin on Wednesday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. at http://summerschool.glencoeschools.org, and closes Friday, April 23rd at 3:30 p.m. A variety of engaging classes for students entering grades 1-8 are available at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at West School.   • Bus Registration

    It is time to register for 2014-15 school year bus service. Beginning with the 2014-2015 year, parents are required to register and pay on-line. Please click here to go to transportation section of our website.

    Your completed registration information and fee must be received by the Business Office/postmarked no later than Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Registrations, other than those for Park District ONLY, received/postmarked after Wednesday, May 28, 2014 will be subject to a late fee of $50.00 per student. Please note that financial assistance is available to those who qualify.

  • Collections Across our Schools

    With the support of our 8th Grade Executive Cabinet, we have added four collections across our schools (in addition to the CapriSun & TREX in place). You can help raise money for the school and charities chosen by the students. This year the list of charities includes the Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern to honor the memory of Bruce Kaminski. You or your children can bring the following items to South, West or Central and deposit them in the receptacles by the front offices.

    • Box Tops for Education Collection
    • Pop Tab Collection
    • Used Sharpies, Expos and Paper-mate pens

  • Security in our Schools

    We thank parents and visitors for following these security procedures when you visit our schools.
    All visitors are asked to present a valid drivers license or state ID to enter the school each time they visit. This identification information will be stored in our system and scanned through the national registries at each visit.

    All visitors will be issued an orange lanyard that should be worn in a visible location while in the school. When exiting the building please return to the main office, sign-out and collect your license/ID.

  • Required Medical Forms

    Please note the following medical record requirements for public schools. Should you have questions, please call the school nurse (South School: 847-835-6440, West School: 847-835-6640 and Central School: 847-835-7640).

    Illinois law requires proof of an eye examination by an optometrist or physician who provides complete eye exams be submitted as a child enters kindergarten or is new to an Illinois school. The exam must be completed within one year prior to your child beginning school. All forms must be turned in by October 15th. Download the EYE EXAM form here.
