Beginning this week our West and Central students will participate in the PARCC testing. As we have shared, this new testing will be completed online and has been developed to align with the Common Core State Standards. During this first testing period, students will take 5 units (3 in English Language Arts and 2 in Math). Students will take no more than one unit per day.
Week One: 3rd, 5th and 7th grade students will test
Week Two: 4th, 6th and 8th grade students will test
We will complete make-up testing in the 3rd week of March or as time permits during the first two weeks of the PARCC testing window. For more information on the PARCC assessments, please visit our Curriculum Corner... LEARN MORE »

An item discussed at the February Board of Education meeting was the timeline to make-up the 2 snow days (January 7th and February 2nd). The following is our plan, assuming we have no additional snow days:

This will allow the final day of school to remain June 4th, summer school will begin on June 8th, and the final day of summer school will be July 3rd.
At this time we are... LEARN MORE »
